
Keep in mind that the depth of ice varies greatly depending on the body of water. It ranges from open flowing water on the river to several feet of ice on some area lakes. With all the extra snow, keep in mind that you’ll probably need your extension put on your auger to get through the deep snow and thick ice.
Panfish: Bluegills are being found in the shallow green weeds using small jigs tipped with waxies, spikes or tipped with plastic. Perch are being caught on the deeper green weed edge. With the warm warmer temperatures, Crappies are starting to move into the shallows.
